When trekking Mount Rinjani with Em Adventure, you don’t have to worry about surviving on dry energy bars. Our team of porters acts as a full-service mountain kitchen, carrying ingredients and cooking gear up the steep slopes to prepare hot, fresh meals for you daily.

Here is what you can expect from our food and beverage service on the mountain:

🍲 Daily Meals

You are provided with three hot meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). While the exact daily menu rotates, porters on Mount Rinjani typically prepare hearty, energy-dense foods to fuel your hike. You can expect familiar trekking favorites like banana pancakes and eggs for breakfast, and traditional Indonesian dishes like Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Mie Goreng (fried noodles), and curries with fresh vegetables and chicken for lunch and dinner.

🍉 Fresh Fruit Snacks

To keep your energy and hydration up between meals, Em Adventure provides daily servings of fresh fruit. Our standard fruit rotation includes:

  • Apples and Oranges

  • Watermelon and Papaya

  • Pineapple

  • Salak (snake fruit – a local Indonesian favorite)

☕ Hydration & Drinks

Staying hydrated at altitude is critical. Your package includes a variety of drinks to keep you going:

  • Water: Plentiful bottled mineral water.

  • Electrolytes: Isotonic water (like Pocari Sweat or similar sports drinks) to replace lost salt from sweating.

  • Soft Drinks: Provided as a treat at camp.

  • Hot Drinks: Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are served at breakfast and whenever you are relaxing at the campsite to help combat the cold mountain air.

Note: Any food and drink on your arrival day at the hotel before the trek begins is excluded and counts as a personal expense.
